Headwaters Reserve’s Mitigation Banking Division improves natural waterways in Tennessee and surrounding states through ecological restoration of headwater systems and downstream waters to restore natural stream and wetland functions, improve water quality, and provide habitat for aquatic and terrestrial wildlife. We provide stream and wetland mitigation solutions through the establishment and operation of mitigation banks and permittee-responsible mitigation sites to provide compensatory mitigation credits for offsetting unavoidable adverse impacts to streams and wetlands authorized by Clean Water Act §404/401 permits.

Headwaters Reserve’s Environmental Consulting Division specializes in jurisdictional determinations, hydrologic assessments, wetland delineations and assessments, stream quantification tool (SQT) assessments, and §404/401 permitting for a wide variety of development projects ranging from small residential to large commercial and industrial sites.
